Biography

As one of the firm’s founding partners with over 47 years of trial experience, Dick Bowman has spent about half of each year in catastrophic loss trials. He has successfully defended product liability cases for a number of industries including: aviation, all-terrain vehicles, automobiles, trucks, boats, farm equipment, motorcycles and industrial equipment.

Described as a “father figure of transport litigation” Mr. Bowman has gone to verdict in 37 states. He was recognized by Honda for outstanding service and 20 years of success in defending cases, including seven high-profile defense verdicts in catastrophic three-wheel ATV cases. Dick has authored several articles on product liability and is a frequent speaker. He has appeared on the McNeil-Lehr News Hour and has testified before Congressional Sub-Committees and before the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding product liability issues.
