Minneapolis, MN (February 1, 2016) – Bowman and Brooke LLP, one of the nation’s leading product liability firms, today announced that Florida-based Seipp, Flick & Hosley LLP, along with lawyers Wendy Lumish and Robert Rudock, have joined the firm.

The move will add two new offices –in Miami and Orlando– as well as a total of 29 attorneys, 16 paralegals, and more than a dozen additional staff to Bowman and Brooke’s roster. The firm will expand its current practice in both state and federal courts throughout Florida at both trial and appellate levels. Three Seipp, Flick & Hosley lawyers will also join Bowman and Brooke’s Detroit office.

“This move builds on Bowman and Brooke’s core group of nationally recognized first chair trial lawyers, and adds significantly to our discovery coordination and appellate teams,” said Bowman and Brooke Firm Chair Paul G. Cereghini. “Our growth plans are always based on meeting the needs of our product manufacturing clients. We are very excited to have these great groups of lawyers join ranks with us and to be opening offices in Florida.

“Along with the Seipp, Flick & Hosley team,  Wendy Lumish and Bob Rudock provide even more bench strength to our Florida practice. This is a significant milestone in the history of our firm,” added Cereghini.

Like Bowman, Seipp, Flick & Hosley represents most of the major automotive manufacturers as well as a strong list of household-name companies in other industry sectors. The firm is a byword for creativity in its approach to product cases and, like Bowman and Brooke, the Seipp, Flick team has enjoyed award-winning achievements in diversity.

“For us, this combination has tremendous strategic value, as it allows us to maximize our platform in Florida while joining Bowman and Brooke’s top tier work in other parts of the country,” said Seipp, Flick’s John C. Seipp, Jr. “It has definitive professional value as well because, simply enough, we’ll be working side-by-side with lawyers who are equally dedicated to legal service excellence.”

Also joining Bowman and Brooke are Wendy F. Lumish, head of the appellate and trial support practice group at Carlton Fields, Miami, along with two appellate partners. Robert Rudock, a member of the litigation practice group at Arnstein & Lehr, Fort Lauderdale, also joins Bowman and Brooke with two partners.

One of Florida’s acclaimed appellate practitioners, Ms. Lumish focuses on trial support and appeals in product liability, personal injury, and medical malpractice defense.

“The decision to join Bowman and Brooke came easy,” said Ms. Lumish. “The firm has decades of experience defending high-profile litigation and trying complex cases.  We are thrilled to join and help grow an already solid appellate group. This is an extraordinary opportunity.”

With the addition of Robert Rudock, Bowman and Brooke underscores its leadership in automotive product liability practice.

“As a lawyer who has represented the automotive industry throughout my career, I have long known Bowman and Brooke as a great trial firm,” said Rudock. “I’ve been seeing how they work for years, and I am proud to join them now.”
