With a “larger than life” presence, Chris Fowlkes is an accomplished attorney with a successful track record with clients. A former University of Minnesota football player, Chris’ stature alone can be intimidating to courtroom opponents, but it is his skill in defending his clients that makes him a real threat to opposing counsel.
Chris regularly defends utility companies, utility locate contractors, manufacturers, distributors and corporations in complex personal injury and property damage cases arising out of the alleged negligence, defective design, improper provision, maintenance and/or installation of various products and services. Chris' practice also encompasses the defense of these various entities in claims of employment discrimination and matters of a contractual nature. Chris has successfully tried several difficult and sophisticated cases serving as both first and second chair.
Beyond his legal practice, Chris currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Emerge, a Minneapolis based community development organization. Chris has also served on the Board of Directors for the Center for Communication and Development, which operates the Minneapolis radio station KMOJ, where he was co-chair of the personnel committee, and as a member of the program and executive committees. He also served on the Board for the ARDEL group, Inc., a leader in association management, where he oversaw the revision of the personnel policies and effectuated other changes.
