Summer Law Clerk Program

The Summer Law Clerk Program is designed to give students a taste of what life would be like working as a trial attorney at Bowman and Brooke. Many of the attorneys at Bowman and Brooke have come through the Law Clerk Program. This is a true testament to why we are committed to providing a meaningful and practical experience for students.

Law Clerks are given the opportunity to perform legal research, present writing tasks for our attorneys and much more. The program also offers an introduction to the culture of Bowman and Brooke by providing recreational and social events with attorneys and staff of the firm. All of this ensures that students are able to network and get to know the attorneys they may be working with after graduation.

What do our former Law Clerks, now Bowman and Brooke Associates, have to say about their experience with Bowman and Brooke?

"I had a great summer experience. The firm provided me with numerous opportunities to play a meaningful role in pending cases, and exposed me to what life as an associate was like. The summer program also gave me a chance to interact with associates and partners, both in a professional setting and in various social events throughout the course of the summer. Combined with the great office environment, my time as a summer associate showed me that Bowman and Brooke is the place for me!"

Jonathan Moore – Richmond

“Bowman and Brooke's summer program convinced me that this was the firm where I belong. As a Summer Associate, I was given the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with seasoned advocates and great staff. The firm's open environment and fun culture are second to none!"

David Gluckman – Richmond

"As a Summer Associate, I worked on over thirty cases and had ample opportunities to acquire litigation skills. Notably, I observed a portion of Mark Berry's trial, attended vehicle inspections with Mike Madokoro and Tony Thomas, observed a deposition and mediation, drafted motions, and prepared quite a few research memos. It was a valuable experience that enabled me to have a running head start as a full-time associate."

Amy Kusol - Los Angeles
