In his fourteen years with Bowman and Brooke, Senior Counsel Nicholas Even has specialized in personal injury defense, automobile/trucking negligence defense, product liability defense, and consumer warranty defense.  He has been fortunate to represent a wide variety of large and small transportation and product manufacturing entities, including:

  • Companies after their employees have been involved in motor vehicle accidents while operating company vehicles/trucks from which personal injuries are alleged to have resulted.
  • Companies that develop, test, design, and manufacture products which are claimed to have caused or contributed personal injuries.
  • Companies that provide warranties as to the goods and services they provide and are alleged to have failed to honor those warranties.

Nicholas' clients appreciate his willingness to get his hands dirty, understanding and assessment of his clients' problems and the potential solutions they desire, creativity in developing a detailed strategy, and ability to make and stick to a thorough budget.

Nicholas has been recognized by his peers for the past seven consecutive years as a Rising Stars by Michigan Super Lawyers®, in 2008-2014.  He has also received the Golden Gavel Award from the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel in 2008 and the Pro Bono Service Award from the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association in 2005.

When Nicholas is not defending his clients, he is very active in the community. He is the CEO and General Counsel for The Frozen Fish Fiasco, a Detroit-area fundraising group which raises money for the Clark Park Coalition, a non-profit organization which operates Clark Park in southwest Detroit, Michigan and which features the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink within the City's confines.
