Michael R. Carey
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Mike Carey concentrates his litigation practice in the areas of general commercial litigation, product liability defense, toxic torts litigation, and construction litigation. Mike's recent successes include writing, arguing and winning dispositive motions, taking depositions of key witnesses in personal injury cases, and negotiating resolution of numerous warranty cases. Mike also represents builders and lenders in litigation involving mechanics' liens and personal guaranty issues.
In law school Mike earned CALI Award honors for the highest grade in Torts II and Toxic Torts. Outside the classroom Mike competed in the Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition where he and his teammate earned first place, in part by submitting the highest scoring appellate brief. He also served as a member of the 2006-07 William Mitchell Law Review.
When not practicing law Mike enjoys spending time with his family, including his son who was born on the first day of the bar exam. In the fall Mike likes to hunt with his weimaraner named Ketchum.
