Mike Montgomery is a trial lawyer who works primarily with business and commercial interests.  With experience as lead trial counsel in both state and federal courts, Mike handles a wide range of commercial disputes of all sizes.  Recent matters include the defense of a public utility company in a property dispute in state court, the defense of two individuals against civil RICO conspiracy claims in federal court, and the representation of several clients in proceedings before the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

In the construction arena, Mike has defended general contractors, subcontractors, and business owners in contract disputes, defect claims, and personal injury lawsuits.  Mike also routinely counsels clients both before and during construction projects in an effort to keep the clients out of the courtroom and focused on their business.

In the realm of product liability and personal injury defense, Mike defends companies primarily in the construction and trucking industries.  Typically these cases involve claims of wrongful death, brain injury, and other catastrophic personal injury, as well as claims of occupational exposure to toxic substances such as asbestos, silica, and diesel fumes.

Savvy to the needs of businesses, Mike understands the pressures legal departments have for quick and efficient resolution without breaking the bank.
