Barry Koopmann is a senior associate with experience defending manufacturers in complex litigation cases. He has represented major automotive manufacturers such as Nissan, General Motors and Mitsubishi against claims involving catastrophic injury and motor vehicle warranty.  In addition, he has extensive experience representing product manufacturers in the areas of medical device litigation, commercial litigation, construction litigation, and fire litigation.

Barry graduated from Drake University Law School with High Honors and was a member of the Drake Law Review, serving as staff member from 2001-2002, and as Research Editor in 2002-2003. In 2003, Barry was awarded the Morris A. Haft Award for outstanding service to the Drake Law Review, and his work entitled, A Rule of Which Procrustes Would Be Proud: An Analysis of the Physical Injury Requirement in Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress Claims Under Iowa Law, was published in volume 51 of the Drake Law Review.
