Amy Kusol focuses her litigation practice on the defense of products liability and breach of warranty cases for clients such as Nissan and Whirlpool. During her first year, Amy drafted and successfully argued a Motion for Summary Judgment for Ford as well as a Demurrer to dismiss fraud-based causes of action against Land Rover.
While in law school, Amy was the Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology. She also participated in Moot Court and legal clinics. As a member of the Environmental Law Clinic, Amy flew to the Gulf Coast after it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. She provided legal services to citizens of Pascagoula, Mississippi and their local Sierra Club. Amy represented them at a public hearing before the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality on a matter involving state and federal Clean Air Act regulations that govern a permit proposed by the Chevron Corporation. Additionally, Amy valued working with her professor in drafting a proposed environmental ordinance for the City of Santa Monica.
